....And moving on from May.
Hello June. Let's see, where were we... ah yes, summer is days away. Happy 32nd birthday Charles (you are officially old and a shell of the 19 year old I fell in love with). And welcome back American Ninja Warrior. Priorities are in line. Let's start with the mash up.
I'm singing it's beginning to look a lot like summer obviously to the tune of it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. "...Soon the grills will start". But that isn't stopping me from having chili this week (why? because it's delicious and it's a much needed crockpot meal to save our busy week).
Week 11 of our mash up. Here we go.
Monday: BRINNER. I was gone all weekend with my ladies in Lake Chelan sunning ourselves and celebrating Libby's 30th bday so that left the cupboards a bit not ready for dinner tonight. You know what always is ready? Waffles and eggs. Always.
Tuesday: Lasagna (yeah yeah, a hold over still from TWO weeks ago. Bite me.)
Wednesday: Chili. Hmmmm. I'm already ready for Wednesday. This recipe is Fe tried and true and sawrea, you won't find better. [recipe card below]
Thursday: Crockpot spaghetti. This is also known as classy spaghetti. Just kidding. Hokay. Basically, you just slow cook your jarred spaghetti sauce to give it the allusion of homemade. It's bomb. It changes the flavor, the house smells good, and you have remained a crucial step above 22 year old in college. If I'm adding meat, I add it in browned about a half hour before serving the sauce.
Friday: I'm out at a retirement party so good luck Sam and Chuck.
Saturday: BBQ Chicken on the grill for this 80 degree Saturday. Yes, please.
Sunday: Sausage Mac and Cheese. Why? Because it just sounds good. I make no apologies that this is for sure my meal of the moment/year. Have you tried it yet? No? What's wrong with you?
And that's the week. We will make it. I think.
Head over to Ashley at Life on the Parsons Farm for her recipes this week. She'll also be showcasing her lovely 1 year olds b-day party this week - can't wait to see the party pictures.
