GIVEAWAY: nuun

Ok, I'm doing something I've never done before in 2 1/2 years of blogging.

I'm doing a GIVEAWAY.

This is not going to become a GIVEAWAY blog. I'm a teacher. You think I have money to just throw around? But I thought this would be a nice way to start April (no this is not an April Fool's Day thing. If I wanted to play that game I would have said I'm pregnant and made you hate me). We'll see how this goes. I  could be persuaded to do this every now and then just to keep our relationship spicy.

GIVEAWAY. Ok. Here's what we're talking about.

nuun.

I blogged about nuun a few months ago (here). nuun is the "new thing" in beverages. It's a hydration drink -- not an energy drink -- it replaces electrolytes without any carbs or any sugar and only 6 calories. It's bomb.com. You drop a tablet in water, watch it fizzle (new word, it's mine), and enjoy.

nuun is all the buzz with serious athletes right now. But it's not just for them and I want to get the word out on that. I am definitely not one of them. Exercise to me is parking an extra row away from Nordstrom and walking in (out of breath). But I drink nuun every afternoon. It's better than soda. It's good for me. It keeps me hydrated and drinking water. It's my afternoon pick-me-up.

I want you to try nuun.
Especially if you are an athlete, a mom, a soda drinker, a juice monger, a non-water drinker who needs some incentive, a human being. Lucy loves nuun. She's 2. She also has impeccable taste.

Today, nuun officially launched their new flavors.
Mine arrived yesterday and I died for Grape and Strawberry Lemonade. I chugged three 16 ounce glasses of water in under an hour. Apparently, redecorating the guest room required a lot of hydration.

TODAY, I am giving away a FOUR pack of nuun tubes (each tube holds 12 tablets).
Strawberry Lemonade, Grape, and two of my favorite "original flavors": Citrus Fruit and Tri-Berry.

I'll also throw in one of the new nuun water bottles.

So there it is.
My first GIVEAWAY.

Here's the rules:
Enter in the GIVEAWAY by posting a comment to this post.
Answer this question in your comment:
"On a scale of 1 to 10, how active are you?" (don't worry, I'm a 2).

1 entry per blog stalker.

The comment must be made on this blog, not on facebook, you facebook commenters (love you).

GIVEAWAY entries must be received by nuun (aren't I cute...noon, PST) on Saturday, April 2. A winner will be chosen at random (don't worry, I have ways of making this fair).

So there you go.
Our first GIVEAWAY. I feel like we are growing together.

Ready. Set. Comment.

  1. De-lurking to enter the contest! Umm I found you via a Dooce comment you made that I thought was funny, so I clicked on your blog, and here I am! :-) You are HILARIOUS!!

Umm I would say I am a 4 because I do go to the gym, but, I don't do any EXXXXTREME SPORTS or anything like that. Just the elliptical machine. Lol.

  2. This stuff sounds yummy! I need something like that at work, I drink too much soda.

I'm like 2.5-3 depending on the day, low impact walking is the name of my game!

  3. I don't need any free Nuun but wanted to participate. I'd say I'm a 7-8. But there are those weeks that I am a 2... :) love you! xo-Mags

  4. Hi Susie! So much fun to see how you're doing...it's been awhile.. like 17 years? :)

As for how active I am, I'll give myself a 5. Lots of sports and fun but not enough hardcore working out.

This Nuun thing looks pretty awesome, I'm going to have to give it a try.

Anyway yay for the Bennett Connection!

  6. I would say I am a 9. I exercise almost every day ... I know, I am one of those annoying endorphin junkies who runs marathons for fun and thinks the stair climber is awesome.

  7. I'm about a 3 I guess. I get on the elliptical for about half an hour at least three days a week and sometimes I'll do some weights.
You can tell what a gym rat I am because I use technical phrases like "do some weights."

  8. I should be better about this, but I'm probably a 2 also... and only because I have to keep up with Ke'ala (otherwise I could easily be a 1!).

Loving your blog and this time I didn't post on Facebook :)

  9. Alright, I'm coming out of the closet and admitting that I'm a Susie blog stalker. Okay...I feel better finally admitting that.

    I'm not sure what I am exactly. On my days off I'm probably a 7 but on days I work I'm a -2. Let's split the difference and say I'm a 3.

  10. Ok where do you buy it? I'm trying to do more water, less diet coke, but somedays the diet come wins. I'd say I'm a 7. Consistany at the gym, but no marathon in my future.

  11. Yes Please! I guess non-preggie Jenna would be a 6 ir 7 in the scale. Preggie Jenna has dropped down to about a two. The most excercise I've gotten this week was running after six, five year old girls at Elli's soccer practice on Wednesday.

  12. i wanted to try it after you blogged about it and forgot....i am about a 4....wish i could say I was a 7 or 8 but I'm not

  13. I'm a 5 because half the time I think abut doing exercise and the other half of the time I work and chase a baby around!

  14. I think I'm about a 6 and counting. I currently blame my laziness on the weather so hopefully soon all of my active thoughts will become actions. Or else this summer I'll be rediscovering the hard truth, that I'm really just lazy...

This Nuun sounds delicious. I've got a heart condition and need to drink approx. 3 liters of fluids a day. Sometimes I am so sick of water I don't even want to shower. Maybe this drink could help!

  15. I'd say I'm a 5. I consider work tons of exercise because 6 and 7-year-olds don't like to sit still and I have to be a one-woman show to keep them entertained. Then I walk part of the way to work. Ok now I think I might be more like a 7 or 8 because I sometimes go swimming or do yoga... but nothing really consistent.

  16. I would say that I'm a 3. Being a pregnant mom of a 18mo old boy has me moving around much more than normal :) Does it count that my body is burning calories as I sit in my comfy chair and type this comment? If so, make it a 3.5 :)

  17. I'm a mom to an active 7 month-old, a graduate student, and a manager/personal trainer/group fitness instructor who currently teaches 6 fitness classes a week. I also do my own personal workouts 6 days a week. SO, I'd say I'm at least an 11. Or otherwise a VERY strong 10.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 0? does that count as a number?

    ReplyDelete
  19. This is a hard question to answer. The me I see in my head is an active 7-8, but the me in real life (full-time working mom, wife, daughter, sister, godmother) is probably a 4-5. I've been running 2-3 times a week for a month now, but I run sllllloooooowwww.
Love your blog~ thanks for the laughs and photo info!

  20. I'm pretty preggo right now, so I'd say a 1. Other times... a 2. Lame.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Pretty sure I need to try this!
I would say I am a 4 and climbing on the active scale...darn NW weather keeping me couped up inside with 2 kids.

    ReplyDelete
  22. On a scale of 1 to 10 of how active I am, I would say that im a 8. Since im a track (hurdle) coach I am active 6 days a week! I love doing many activities, especially playing volleyball, skiing, running.....etc.

    P.S. I love nuun!! :)

  23. 22 comments, holy cow! I might have to try a giveaway just to get this many comments! Well I'd love some new Nuun flavors:) I would give myself a 7 for activity level, though this week it's like a 1...icky rain! Hope you are feeling better.

I don't like to sweat, but I do like to muuv.
I'm more than a tuu, but much less than yuu.

  27. I love the way this stuff tastes. It helped me stop drinking Coke as much. It may enhance water, but i have been drinking more water ever since i have started using this stuff!
So many flavors makes it even better!
    Thanks for the great blog!
